Tables such as this one would have been found in both taverns and homes. Well-worn, this table is painted red and has one drawer which could have been used for storing utensils. The legs are vase-turned and have stretchers between them at the bottom. The stretchers give the table more stability, which would help if it was used as a work table in a kitchen and also help it stand up to hard use in a tavern.
